Wayne Abeita
THOREAU — Services for Wayne Abeita, 43, will be 10 a.m., May 28, at First Baptist Church, Thoreau. The Rev. Glen Marshall will officiate.

Abeita died May 24, 2011, in Thoreau. He was born March 3, 1968, in Gallup, into the Two Came To the Water People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Abeita graduated from Thoreau High School in 1987. His hobbies included making dream catchers and working on plastic canvas. He enjoyed being with family.
Survivors include his parents, Johnny and Maxine Abeita of Thoreau; brothers, Jonathan Abeita, Patrick Abeita, Marvin Abeita, all of Thoreau, Melvin Abeita of Grants; sisters, Renee Damon, Nora Sam, both of Thoreau, Lavena Abeita of Winslow.
Abeita was preceded in death by his brother, Norman Abeita; sister, Laura Abeita; grandparents, John W. Yazzie, Etta M. Yazzie, Frank Abeita, Juanita Abeita.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Thoreau Chapter House, following services.

Raymond Belone
SMITHLAKE — Services for Raymond T. Belone, 55, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 28, in Yahtahey. Burial will be in family cemetery.
Belone died May 22, 2011, in Smith Lake. He was born Oct. 25, 1955, in Gallup, into the Water’s Edge People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Belone attended Highland High School in Albuquerque and Chuska Boarding School. He worked with several contractors in construction and worked as a silversmith as his hobby. He was also very active in ministry outreach.
Survivors include his brothers, Steven Belone of Albuquerque, Benjamin Belone of Gallup, Tony Shipley of Yahtahey, Leo Belone of Yahtahey, Daniel Belone of Prewitt, Rueben Belone of Nazlini, Pete J. Belone of Crownpoint; sisters, Joanne Charlie of Yahtahey, Roseann Slim of Yahtahey, Helen Leslie of Yahtahey, Elsie Myers of Rock Springs.
Belone was preceded in death by Tom and Alice Belone.
Pallbearers will be Danny Belone, Chris Peters, Reuven Belone, Rephuah Belone, Johnathan Commanche, McKeever Curley.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Rock Springs Chapter House, following services.

Monty Tilden
WINDOW ROCK — Funeral Mass for Monty Charles Tilden, 45, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 28, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup. The Rev. Bowski will officiate. Burial will be on private land, Jones Ranch.
Tilden died May 22, 2011, in Tempe. He was born June 23, 1965, in Shiprock, into the Black Streak Wood People Clan for the Water’s Edge People Clan.
Tilden attended Highland High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1985-1987. He was employed with Arizona Refridgeration Services.
Survivors include his daughters, Chanel Tilden, Lynelle Tilden; mother, Mary L. Begay; brothers, Norman Bowman, Myron Tilden, Paul Anagale, Ty Tilden; sisters, Monica J. Tilden, Norma Bowman, Roberta Drake, Alana Begay, Tyra Tilden.
Tilden was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Tilden; grandparents, Mary H. and Charley H. Begay, June and Bennie Tilden.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Atcitty, Edmund Arlington, David Scott, Jimmy Peterson Jr., Myron Tilden, Johnnie Begay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Widefield Baptist Church, Jones Ranch, following services.
